Trade Consultant
We are looking for a knowledgeable and strategic Trade Consultant to advise on and support our local and international trade operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in market entry strategies, trade regulations, export/import compliance, and global business development. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are essential to drive growth across our diverse business sectors.
Qualifications required
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Economics, Commerce, Trade, or a related field (minimum requirement)
A Master’s Degree in International Trade, Business Administration (MBA), or Economics is preferred
Professional Experience
3–7 years of experience in trade consultancy, export/import management, or international business development
Proven expertise in market research, trade regulations, and compliance
Experience advising businesses on market entry strategies and trade facilitation
Key Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of trade laws, customs regulations, and international trade agreements
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to conduct market analysis and develop business strategies
Proficiency in export/import documentation and logistics coordination
Skilled in stakeholder engagement and cross-cultural communication
Additional Qualifications (Valued)
Certifications such as Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) or courses from International Chamber of Commerce (ICC)
Experience with trade promotion agencies or government export programs
Multilingual skills and experience working in diverse markets
